Queensland regional finals, and other news

This year the Australians will hold 3 regional finals in VIC, NSW and QLD, with ONE winner selected from each final to represent Australia at the 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup in New Zealand in March 2010. 24 bartenders will compete at each regional final, which means there are 72 spots up for grabs across Australia. To ensure that we assemble a truly Australian representative team we will also fly bartenders from TAS, SA, NT and WA into one of the regional finals if their entries qualify.

Regional Final Dates

• Queensland regional finals were Monday the 16th of November in Brisbane, with massive congratulations to Karel 'Pappy' Gonzalez of Laruche, see you in New Zealand!
• New South Wales are on the 30th November in Sydney.
• Victoria - Melbourne (within the fist two weeks of December)

In other news...

For those out there that don't know, the 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup Final week is kicking off in the last week of March 2010. It starts in Queenstown on March 22nd and will finish with the Grand Final in Wellington on Saturday 27th March. Its going to be a wild rock star tour so we will keep you posted on event details.
