East London regional final results

The standard was exceptionally high in the Regional Final for East London. A true display of the strength of the bartending talent that has taken root in East London. We are grateful that there were no Cockney-slanted cocktails coming from these finals, unlike reports of their ATMs: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/london/8217499.stm.

Presentation elements were exceptional with Andy Mill drawing inspiration from the degustation menu at the Fat Duck paring his drink with an iPod playing Jonny Wilkinson’s winning drop-kick from the Rugby World Cup 2003. Dean Callan distilled his own liqueurs and gin using 42BELOW as the base spirit.

Loads of home made ingredients such as syrups and infusions with molecular mixology featured prominently.

These three bartenders are leaving us in anticipation of the UK finals.
