42BELOW Cocktail World Cup 2011 is a cocktail competition like no other
The truly unique event brings the world's best and most passionate bartenders to the world's greatest country, New Zealand, for a week of extreme activities and innovative cocktail making. We throw them from behind the bar and out of their comfort zone in search of the 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup champions.
Regional finals will take place in cities around the world to find each country's most worthy mixologists. The winners of these finals will be taken on a once in a lifetime tour of 42BELOW's homeland where they will battle it out, country vs. country through grueling cocktail challenges before a live grand final event. During the 6 day event, contestants also get to learn from our international judges- masters of the mixology world, as well as from each other. So get involved in your regional finals and don't miss out on the biggest party of 2011 and a chance to be part of the world's ultimate cocktail competition.
42BELOW gathered some of the best bartenders in the world in the heart of New Zealand for one of the best weeks of their life. Far from mere sport, the extreme activities scattered amidst a week long party forged individuals into teams whose mettle was tested every day. The 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup is by far the most creative and endearing competition I've ever had the pleasure to be a part of.

No other competition is like the 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup. Everything comes into play ingredients, intuition, and learning to work together as a team creatively, which is possibly the hardest thing of all.
DALE DEGROFF
Judge 2007
The 42BELOW world title competition is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the best competition in the world today. There was nothing like the quality of this competition before and we will definitely not see this sort of professionalism for many years to come.

I've been to many cocktail competitions around the globe, but nothing like the 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup - this is what it's all about. The levels of creativity I saw was incredible. I can retire happy now knowing that the future of bartending is in good hands.
