42BELOW Cocktail World Cup 2011 is a cocktail competition like no other
Ladies and Gentlemen, roll-up, roll-up, for your chance to jump on the 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup Carnival of the Cocktail caravan and be part of the marvellous, the miraculous, the most magnificent show in the world!
In 2011 42BELOW will be taking their iconic cocktail competition to a place it’s never been before, delving into the magical, mystical world of the carnival and we’ll be taking the world’s best bartenders with us.
We are ready to begin our search to find the most creative, dynamic and unique mixologists, those operating at the very top of their trade. We’ll find those people through a series of regional competitions to determine a team of three to represent your country at the 2011 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup.
If you make it, you’ll be flown to the home of 42BELOW (and the greatest country on earth), New Zealand, for a weird and wonderful week of extreme cocktail making, parties and adrenalin charged activities. When you’re not competing you will have a chance to rub shoulders with the ringmasters and courtesans of the wonderful world of cocktails.
42BELOW gathered some of the best bartenders in the world in the heart of New Zealand for one of the best weeks of their life. Far from mere sport, the extreme activities scattered amidst a week long party forged individuals into teams whose mettle was tested every day. The 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup is by far the most creative and endearing competition I've ever had the pleasure to be a part of.

No other competition is like the 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup. Everything comes into play ingredients, intuition, and learning to work together as a team creatively, which is possibly the hardest thing of all.

The 42BELOW world title competition is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the best competition in the world today. There was nothing like the quality of this competition before and we will definitely not see this sort of professionalism for many years to come.

I've been to many cocktail competitions around the globe, but nothing like the 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup - this is what it's all about. The levels of creativity I saw was incredible. I can retire happy now knowing that the future of bartending is in good hands.
